Here's is an interesting piece it is partly early and later 18th century with some adjustments made to it in 1915/1916 by a certain A.S. Goodwin , Journeyman working for J W Bishop and CO, a journeyman is a trained and qualified apprentice cabinet maker, working for a a master cabinet maker.
The dressing chest as the base is lovely quality George III and has lovely ceder drawers all fabric linned, the top has superb double arched panneled doors and is a rebuilt top form and early 18th century George II piece, it is a lovely piece of furniture and if not being entirely as conceived it is still a piece with a certain allure and has in any case been in this form for 100yrs.
