Here's a lovely atmospheric work catching Amsterdam waterfront with the St Nicolas church in the centre, with the full moon clearly breaking through the clouds and all the houses individualy lit in the windows, very unusual work and well captured, signed by Johan Burgers, which is not a familiar name, probably for one reason or another this name was applied and not the already well known name of the artist who actually created the work, but it remains a very competent accomplished work, and has a richly decorated ornamental frame.
Beleived to be early 20th century.
