Brass inlaid walnut writing slopeSOLD
This is a very high quality writing box, in figured walnut all inlaid with brass, the owners initials on the brass plaque on top, inside origonal black leather inlay, with ebany edged box, there is and aditional three very secret drawers which are accessed by triggering a spring mechainism attached to one of the partitions from the inkwells, the drawers appear to be undisturbed since the 19th century, in one was found a small lock of blond hair folded into a piece of paper with a date of 1879, a secret love I presume?
