This is a lovely high quality rosewood brass bound writting box bought by J S Mc Gallan in 1890, he passed it on to TC Mc Gallan in 1942, there is a lovely letter discussing the progress of the second world war, Mc Gallan had been in the forces and probably fought in the first world war.
This a lovely piece of history with also includes the original inkwells, and behind a sprung board there is three lovely cuban mahogany secret drawers, and the original diagonal tape letter rack.
