Park scene Aris KnikkerSOLD
This is by Aris knikker( 1887-1962) a very well known school of the Hague artist, who begon as a ceramics artist, but became very well known for his dutch landscapes.
He was very prolific and also painted under pseudonyms: H. Endlich, W. Markestein en Henk Welther.
This work is very colourful and not typical of his works, but bears a strong resemblence to some works by Monet, and it was altogether possible that they were aquainted, so who knows this could be Aris Knikker doing Monet ?
It has and auction description on the reverse from 1984 Den Haag.
