This is a painting of a steam motor yacht from the 19th century, painted by the Lighthouse keeper S . Emmerson, ST Bees lighthouse on the Cumbrian coast of England, probably around 1900.
The board is actually a piece of a tea chest, they were at the time commonly washed up along the shoreline.
