18th century piecrust tilt-top tableSOLD

Lovely example of the Chippendale period piecrust tilt-top tripod table, these 18th century tables are rare, many of them were made much later around the 1900. This one has been extensively restored and has an adjusted pedestal height being slightly lower than originally it would have been. Beautifully carved and decorated ball and claw legs, one of which has an old repair visible underneath. Colour and patina largely original on the lovely solid mahogany top, also the original brass catch is still working.
