Bookcase / Display cabinetSOLD
This is a superb quality solid mahogany display or bookcase, made to an 18th century design probably arround 1930, the condition is really good almost mint, and the quality of the fittings is lovely polished brass hinges, closing strip and lock, even the inside of the doors is polished.
Has beautifully carved claw and ball front legs, and turned rear legs in the style of the early 18th century.
Top moulding has dentills and Chinese chippendale fretted panels, I suspect this is an Edwards and Roberts piece as they were pretty much the only company that was producing to this quality in the early 20th century.
The interior has been re-covered in a cream fabric.
size : 122cm x 35cm x 183cm high.
