This is a super little painting, beleived to be a well known Larens school artist, very likely Kever Jacob Simon Hendrik 1854-1922.
No signature no certainty, beautifully portrayed frailty of this little old lady, reading contentedly, remarkably detailed face and hands given the small size of the painting.
It is oil on artists board, appears to be in its origional 1880 frame.
