Fine 18th century oak and mahogany chest of drawers with a secretaire in the top drawer, the interior drawers and door are particularly fine with delicate banded edges and oval inlay motif with ivory pulls, there is a secret drawer hidden in behind the door.
This piece is from the North of England roughly 1780, at that time it was very normal to combine the use of mahogany with the oak, it has an oustanding origional finish built up from years of wax polish and all the main parts and handles are origional barring the bottom two which have been replaced with similar ones.
