Regency Secretaire bookcaseSOLD

Regency Secretaire bookcase circa 1820 in mahogany inlaid with ebany, quite a large proportioned piece, the base being particularly tall with a bevel on the corners inlaid, unusually this one has the secretaire situated in the right hand drawer, which is fairly unique.

The top carcase doors are  barred with ebany and has nearly all the origional panes of glass, cornice is also inlaid with ebany. finish is origional and only based on wax.

Its a very imposing large piece and because it dates back to the Regency period carries a rarity value as the regency period was very short.
